You’d be wrong. According to research, wealthy Japanese men prefer to buy German when it comes to prestige cars, such as a new Mercedes or a new Porsche. They’re the signs of success in Japan, not a Toyota or a Lexus!
The research was conducted by the Luxury Institute. They polled wealthy Japanese households with an average income of more than $525,000 on their choice

Thursday, June 11th, 2009Professional drivers on the Formula One circuit met on Sunday to discuss the new regulations that the FIA are trying to introduce in 2010. The drivers and the Formula One Teams Association met following the Turkish Grand Prix to discuss the rule changes and the tension caused by the situation.
Four drivers were absent from the meeting, Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima from Williams and Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil from Force India. The FOTA has now suspended both of those teams from next season’s championship.
Each of the other teams lodged conditional entries into next season’s championship. The conditions were

Mercedes C180K Blue Efficiency
Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009With fuel efficiency and carbon emissions playing an ever greater part when choosing a new car, Mercedes have released a new version of its C-class, the C180K, designed with fuel efficiency in mind.
The new Mercedes is the first in the line of the company’s Blue Efficiency models, developed as a rival to BMW’s Efficient Dynamics system. Both model lines feature fuel efficient engines and bodywork modifications to help improve fuel consumption, whilst still retaining plenty of power for everyday motoring.

AMG develop greener technology
Saturday, January 31st, 2009AMG have announced that they will be pursuing greener technology for their upcoming cars with outright horsepower taking less prevalence. Such a move seems surprising from the performance arm of Mercedes Benz, but with new Mercedes cars embracing greener technology, it appears that AMG are following suit.
The news from AMG fuels rumours that the company is planning to release an AMG-branded ‘hot-hatch’ version of the A-Class, with rumours of such a car being commonplace amongst performance Mercedes enthusiasts.

Friday, January 30th, 2009The Mercedes E class executive car has been voted as one of the best executive cars available by voters in the 2008 JD Power car survey.
The long running survey polls owners of three year old cars with cars being sub-divided into separate categories, the Mercedes E class was voted as the second highest scoring car in the category with an overall rating of 84.2%, only narrowly beaten by the Jaguar S-type with 84.6%. The E class was also regarded as one of the best cars available across the board, finishing an impressive eighth overall across the survey.

Friday, January 30th, 2009Mercedes have given the S-class luxury saloon a face lift for the 2009 launch, with the updated car now featuring hybrid technology.
The new Mercedes S-class will feature a hybrid automatic transmission, designed to boost power output where necessary.
