Ferrari to concentrate on new car for 2010

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Ferrari is about to concede the 2009 F1 season and cease any further development work on the current car in favour of developing the new Ferrari car for the 2010 season. This is in spite of the podium finish that Felipe Massa achieved in this weekend’s German Grand Prix.
According to Stefano Domenicali, the boss of Ferrari’s F1 team:
“We’ve already started work on the new project and in the next couple of weeks we will move on to that. We want to start with a different pace compared to this year.”
Neither Massa nor his fellow Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen are

No new Ferrari challenge, states Massa

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Ferrari’s Felipe Massa may have obtained a podium finish in the German Grand Prix at the weekend, but he maintains that it won’t signal a new Ferrari challenge in this Formula One season.
Massa insisted that Ferrari are not back to their best yet and the more time will be needed by Ferrari if they are to mount a serious challenge to Brawn GP, who are the runaway leaders of the F1 season so far.
“A podium is always important. Third place is a good result for us but we cannot say it’s really our return. I think we are improving

A car journalist has been caught speeding a new Ferrari California in Australia, and sadly it wasn’t Jeremy Clarkson. The automotive journalist, Rod Easdown, was caught doing almost double the speed limit in the brand new $500,000 Ferrari California.
The new Ferrari had been imported into Australia by Ateco Automotive and was scheduled to be tested by journalists and media all this week, however it can’t be driven now as the new Ferrari has been impounded by the police. The car will now remain in the police pound for the next seven days.
Mr Rod Easdown is the motoring correspondent for

Megan Fox washes new Ferrari for audition

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

When you’re the owner of a series of expensive high performance cars such as Porsches and Ferraris, you’ll probably pay to get them valeted professionally. There’s no sense having an expensive car and washing it yourself.
However, just how rich would you have to be to get Megan Fox to turn up and wash your new Ferrari for you? The answer is extremely rich, and powerful. Film director Michael Bay revealed in a press conference to promote his new movie, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, that he asked Megan Fox to wash his new Ferrari as part of her audition

The new Ferrari F450 is set to be debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, but the car has been sighted already and photos have leaked onto the Internet. The new Ferrari F450 that has been snapped has been described as being an almost production version.
The new Ferrari F450 will have a 4.6 ltr V8 engine, outputting a staggering 520 BHP. This will mean that the new Ferrari F450 will be more powerful than the previous model, the Ferrari F430 Scuderia. In addition to the extra power, the Ferrari F450 will also be lighter than the F430, which

Ferrari claims Alonso rumours are false

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

Depending on who you listen to and where you go for your F1 gossip, either Fernando Alonso will be the new Ferrari driver for the 2010 – 2011 season, or he won’t. Most of the press sites and gossip sites claim that Alonso has already signed for Ferrari, but Ferrari themselves insist that he hasn’t, and that their current drivers, Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen, are contracted through the 2010 season.
That won’t stop the rumours going away however as Alonso is considered by many to be the best F1 driver on the circuit, and therefore should be driving with

The multi-millionaire DJ and TV presenter has tuned up some of his personal car collection to embark on a road trip for charity. Chris is taking seven of his favourite Ferraris, worth a staggering £15 million, on a road trip covering 100 miles.

Man has his new Ferrari seized by police

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

It’s the stuff nightmares are made of. You’ve spent £170,000 on a new Ferrari 430 and it’s been seized by the police and impounded. That’s just what happened to the owner of a new Ferrari 430 in Birmingham in the past week.
The driver of the Ferrari was stopped as police believed he had no insurance. Surely if you own a £170,000 supercar, insurance is fairly high on your list of priorities? Yet the police were running a crime crackdown and found that the Ferrari 430 flashed up on their computer screen when it passed by and triggered their number

Rossi to F1?

Monday, July 6th, 2009

It’s like a dream move for motorsport fans, akin to an international rugby player switching codes from League to Union, but the unthinkable switch of Valentino Rossi from superbikes to Formula One has been played down by the Italian.
There have been rumours of a new Ferrari car in the 2011 F1 season as the team has hinted at fielding a third car and the rumours of superbike legend Valentino Rossi driving that car just won’t go away.
Rossi fuelled the rumours himself when he was interviewed by the Italian press stating that he was interested in the news that Ferrari
