For those looking to buy a BMW M6 coupe, it appears that second-hand may well be the way to go.

BMW 1-Series Convertible Depreciation

Monday, February 9th, 2009

In only its first year of production, the BMW 1-Series convertible model appears to be a sensible choice for new buyers, with an excellent blend of power, style and residual values.
The 1-series has been likened to the original BMW E30 3-series convertible, being of a similar size and retaining the canvas roof unlike most rivals that feature the bulky folding hard-top feature. It also seems that the new BMW 1-Series convertible will retain the same popularity as the E30 – a car that still appeals to used car buyers nearly 20 years after ending production.

BMW E24 6-series

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

One of the most iconic and collectable BMW cars of the 1970s and 1980s is that of the original BMW 6-series coupe. Launched in 1976, the BMW E24 enjoyed a long production run until 1989, with 86,000 cars being built. As an expensive, luxury coupe, the car became one of the symbols of the 1980s ‘yuppie’ culture. That, coupled with the car’s striking looks (featuring the attractive ‘Sharknose’ design of BMWs of the period) still ensure the car remains desirable today.
The car may not have been so attractive had BMW forced through plans to make the car stand several

BMW 7-Series E23

Since its introduction in 1977, the BMW 7-series has been the company’s flagship car, with the new BMW 7-series being no exception, with an impressive specification list pushing the boundaries of automotive technology.
The original version of the car was the E23 model, launched in 1977 replacing the BMW E3 ‘New Six’ model as the company’s flagship luxury saloon. With the exception of the high performance 745i model, all E23 models were fitted with 12 valve six cylinder engines, ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 litres. As became the trademark with the 7 series, the cars were stylish yet boasted huge

The most crucial aspect of the new car is that it will retain its rear wheel drive layout, keeping it in line with the rest of the BMW range. Rumours had circulated that the new 1 series would share a front wheel drive layout with the Mini, in a bid to

BMW CS may enter production

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

BMW are rumoured to be continuing the development of its four door luxury saloon concept car, the CS.
Towards the end of 2008, it was announced that the new BMW would not be entering production due to financial constraints. However recent spy shots from the motoring press have shown the CS in private testing at BMW’s Munich headquarters.
Such a move would seem realistic from BMW, given that many of its prestige car rivals have already released similar models. The Mercedes CLS has proved to be a popular car in the category, stealing the thunder from the long standing Maserati Quattroporte.
