Free roadside assistance for owners of classic Ferraris!

Friday, July 24th, 2009

For any owner of a classic car one of the most frustrating things is the fact that you’ll constantly need roadside assistance. There’s no getting away from it, when you drive a car that’s decades old you’ll find it invariably lets you down from time to time, meaning an embarrassing wait by the roadside for the tow truck or repair van to show up and spare your blushes.
Ferrari, being Ferrari, have come up with a solution for this in Italy. Any owner of a classic used Ferrari can receive free roadside assistance from Ferrari themselves if they require it.

The contentious ownership wrangle has split the owners of Porsche down the middle.
The two companies will get together to discuss their future, with one of the roadblocks on the horizon being the tax liability that would be faced by the two merging. Should Porsche

Former Ferrari boss to be FIA president?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

Following the battles between the FIA and the drivers association this season in Formula One, the current president of the FIA, Max Mosley, will stand down when his term ends on October. The war erupted over the proposed budget cap for next season, which the F1 teams were violently opposed to (in particular Ferrari, who didn’t think they could develop a new Ferrari car to be competitive with such restrictions).
Now that the budget cap has been scrapped, Mosley will step down, paving the way for a new president of the FIA, and former Ferrari boss Jean Todt looks set

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

The ‘will he/won’t he’ saga of whether Fernando Alonso will move to Ferrari next season has taken another turn following the comments of Willi Weber, former manager to Ferrari legend Michael Schumacher.
Ferrari have insisted in recent weeks that they have two F1 drivers contracted to them, in Massa and Raikkonen, and that any speculation surrounding Fernando Alonso is purely speculation, he will not be a new Ferrari driver next season.
Alonso meanwhile has stayed fairly tight lipped on the subject, while rumours are rife that he will be unveiled as a new Ferrari driver before the end of the year.

Used Ferrari crashes at Ferrari fun day

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

A Ferrari fun day almost turned into disaster this past weekend when a used Ferrari being driven around Newbury Showground crashed into a tree. Luckily disaster was averted however as neither the driver nor the passenger were injured in the crash.
The driver lost control of his Ferrari as he was driving the high performance car around the track. The passenger of the car was a member of the public who had paid money for the privilege.
The used Ferrari burst into flames, and fire-fighters had to extinguish the fire before the day could continue with more Ferraris on the track.

Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen believes that he can emulate the success of his teammate Felipe Massa and achieve a top three finish in the next Grand Prix in Hungary. According to Raikkonen, his new Ferrari F60 should be perfectly suited to the Hungarian Grand Prix as it’s a slower circuit.

“Furthermore, the temperatures should be slightly higher than at the weekend in Germany: it would be great to gain another podium.”
Raikkonen expressed his satisfaction with his current car, despite the fact that the Ferrari cars have
