AMG have announced that they will be pursuing greener technology for their upcoming cars with outright horsepower taking less prevalence. Such a move seems surprising from the performance arm of Mercedes Benz, but with new Mercedes cars embracing greener technology, it appears that AMG are following suit.
The news from AMG fuels rumours that the company is planning to release an AMG-branded ‘hot-hatch’ version of the A-Class, with rumours of such a car being commonplace amongst performance Mercedes enthusiasts.
The company has announced that future models will incorporate alternative methods to increase performance from its cars, including weight saving, alternative technologies

The long running survey polls owners of three year old cars with cars being sub-divided into separate categories, the Mercedes E class was voted as the second highest scoring car in the category with an overall rating of 84.2%, only narrowly beaten by the Jaguar S-type with 84.6%. Situated in Porsche’s hometown of Stuttgart, the museum sits opposite the headquarters of Porsche, and within the 5,600 sq ft display space will sit around 80 exhibits, depicting the history of the famous marquee.
